I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the class today. I have to admit, the class was the exact opposite of my preconceived notions of the content of the class. To be honest, I was expecting a lecture of "here are the laws, and do as I say" and also a group of "good ole boys" in overalls who wanted to establish their manhood by packing a gun. I couldn't have been more wrong.

The first thing I noticed about the class was that it consisted of 1/3 women. This was very reassuring to me because all through the class, a phrase my father told me several years ago kept ringing in my years. He said "There are 2 types of people in the world- those that live life and those that let life live them". Having the women there made me recognize that if a situation were to arise, living life rather than letting someone else dictate to us how we are affected by their actions is more prevalent than just being a victim.

The other distinguishing aspect of your class that caught my attention was that you spoke with us and to us rather than AT us. It was an open and friendly environment instead of someone mandating that it's "my way or the highway". The 3rd thing that I noticed and appreciated about the class was how you dealt with the rookie shooters. Praise when they did something right, and gentle correction when you picked up on something they needed to adjust. This again proved that you are working with us rather than against us.

I have a couple of other friends that are going to be taking their CCH training and without a doubt I am going to make sure they are in one of your classes. While there are several other instructors that were much closer to me, I am glad that I did not trade the convenience of their location for the wisdom of your class.
